The giant sports balls are all self-contained; which means that it does not
require continuous air flow to keep it inflated. Each ball has TWO parts; a
sturdy nylon covering and a soft (but thick) vinyl bladder inside that can be
patched with any standard repair kit.
If you wish to anchor the ball optional tie down loops can be added.
The covering can be removed if necessary and can be washed while inflated with
a mild soap and washcloth if it gets dirty. Do not be fooled by other giant
balls that are made of only lightweight vinyl, painted to look like a soccer
ball. No one else has this kind of quality at such a low price.
Best of all each unit is extremely light; coming in at only slightly
over 10 pounds for 6 foot and only 17 pounds for the 8 foot ball.
Each ball can be filled using a regular leaf blower or other similar appliance.
Best of all, when the 8 foot ball is filled with helium instead of air, it will
have about 17.40 pounds (6 foot ball = 8 lbs) of lift; which will give the ball
a neutral buoyancy making it perfect for a crowd surfing ball or for the ultimate
soccer game. Neutral buoyancy means that the weight of the ball and the lift
of the helium cancel each other out; making the ball virtually weightless. Don't
let the light weight of the ball fool you though, this is not a balloon! And
not to worry about the ball getting punctured; the thick nylon outer covering
will protect the inside from all except the most stubborn pointed objects.
